THE PRACTICE TEAMPartnersMedical Partners are: Dr Iain G Scorgie Dr Thomas P Cuddihy Dr Andrew J Irons Dr Hazel E Macdonald Dr Clare L Smith Management Partner is: Practice NursesOur practice nurses are Carolann Scade (RGN,BA MSc) and Anne Scott (RGN BA). They provide the full range of treatment room procedures and also offer expertise in travel advice and immunisations, health promotion and family planning matters. They also run chronic disease management clinics including asthma, diabetes, hypertension, stroke and coronary heart disease. You would normally see nurses by appointment and you may leave a message for them at reception. Health VisitorOur health visitor is Natalie Burns (RGN RN RM HV BSc (Health Study), F Dip Nursing/Midwifery Pgd (public health). Natallie is supported by staff nurse Majorie Deacon. They have expertise in preventive health including routine immunisation, care and development of babies and pre-school children, care of the elderly and general health promotion. There is a regular baby clinic. The health visitors are able to see people in the surgery or at home if necessary. Natalie can be contacted on 531 9221. District NursesOur district nurses are Eleanor Gair (RGN SCM DN Cert), Alana Hunter (RGN) and Elspeth Threlfall. They provide nursing care for patients at home when necessary. In addition they also hold clinics at the practice, for example, for dressings. They may be contacted directly on telephone number 232 9000, or by leaving a message at reception. West Glasgow Primary Care Mental Health TeamWest Glasgow Primary Care Mental Health Team supports people aged 16 and over, who have or are at risk of developing common health problems, such as anxiety, stress and depression. The service offer a range of help. You can access the service by contacting them directly on 0141 232 9270 to arrange an appointment. Alternatively you can make an appointment to see yor GP by contacting the surgery on 0141 211 6210. Social WorkersIf you require the services of the social work department, you will be referred to a social worker at your local office. For Partick, Hillhead and Hyndland they can be contacted on 276 3100, and for Maryhill and Kelvinside the contact number is 276 6200. ReceptionistsThe practice employs a number of reception staff, led by senior receptionist Christine. All of our receptionists are here to help you. Although you will be mostly aware of them at the reception desk and on the telephone, they are responsible for a wide range of clerical duties. We would be grateful for your help in understanding the problems which they often face in trying to accommodate everyone.
